I have recently written an Atlas Constitution. Of course a lot of my ideas will be rejected by many...but I will post it soon for all to read in a different thread. In my Constitution......the oath of the President goes as follows;

 I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Atlas Forum.

That is the SAME oath the real President of the United States takes....except the....Atlas Forum part....*cough*...

Also...my Constitution states that the President shall always take office the first weekend of the month following the election. From NOON on Friday...to NOON on Sunday....so...as of right now we are upholding that tradition.

we thought we lost you....
good to hear you

I wrote a constitution myself (and with some changes of my fellow progressives it is our draft for the convention). it is on the web the last few days at:
http://ukconstitution.net/progressive/policy/Constitution.html

our oath is similar:
 "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the Forum, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Forum, so help me Dave."

LOL! Cheesy I am not talking much interest in this, but the 'so help me Dave' part MUST be in the final draft! I strongly endorse it! Grin
