What are your feelings on school vouchers?

That is out-side of my area of respnsibility...but I will declare my favourable stance on them anyway. Smiley

I share your opinion on school vouchers.  I'm glad to see you take the more conservative stance on this issue, whereas most in your party would likely be against vouchers.

I have a question regarding the current situation in Iraq.  We all know that former Sec. of State Colin Powell made the case for the war to the U.N. even though some suspect he personally wasn't for the war.  As Sec.of State, if the president decided there was reasonable cause for military action within another country, yet you personally disagreed with his assessment of the situation, would you still make the case for a war to the rest of the world?  Would you keep your personal feelings to yourself or would you stand up and voice your disagreement to the rest of the forum?

Also, and this is simply for my own curiosity, what is your position on abortion?

OK...it would depend on how strong my feelings were. If I felt that the president was pursuing a foreign policy that was somehow dangerous to the fundamental principles and interests of the forum citizens, I'd probably resign. If it was more of a personal disagreement I'd probably go with it. I think it would come down whether I felt that the principles of the foreign policy were right or not, not particular interpretations of those principles.

On abortion, my view is very complicated...I essentially cannot make up my mind. I feel that there is no reasonable middle-ground on abortion and I don't feel comfortable with either extreme. I've been thinking about it for at least a year now and I still feel torned. I might have to get back to you later...

Good answer, to both questions!

I myself am against abortion, in all cases except life of the mother.  In that instance, I think the mother (and father, if involved) should be able to choose the lesser of the two evils--the mother dying, the child dying.

Secretary, are the rumours true that you secured your appointment by having the VP's residence surrounded by expert biathletes?

I was asked before (Soulty I think) but not answered

You support the Iraq War, the President is clearly against.  How will you be able to reconcile these differences?

No comment. An independent commission will look into this matter and I will not comment further until the reusults of said commission are presented.

The Iraq War is history. Had this administration been in power when the war started we would've dealt with those difference there and then. Smiley

What you're going to do about unintellectual contrary of Election Atlas Forum, our enemy site GWBUSH.COM?

I'd say that there is now room to negotiations!

I think that question should rather be directed to the DefSec than myself... Wink

I support a hawkish line and think the Atlas Forum should take whatever steps are necessary to protect our interests and maintain stability as well as preserving the values we hold dear. The gwbush.com forum was against the Iraq War which should mean that they are push-overs whom we could easily knock out in a quick surgical campaign. But it isn't my area of expertise...
