I took the test. I got a 36 out of 40, putting me near Bob Dole, and just short of Ronald Reagan, in degree of conservatism.
The wording of the questions was different, and encouraged a more right-wing response than the other test.
LOL yeah, thats another reason I liked it. The other one forced me to say things I didnt wanna say

Economic I got a 0
Social issues, I got a .97 towrds the authoritarian side. I guess that makes me a "centrist" on this chart, but I feel hardly any of my views are "centrist". at least not how the media defines such.

I did try the test(although some of their stuff on world leaders is innacurate and some questions are biased)
I got:
Authoritarian +0.50
Left -7.00

On the other I got a 3, between Teddy and Jesse Jackson.
Guess that means I'm a wacky liberal. I already knew that.

On the compass
Economic Left/Right: -5.12
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.62
Very close to Gandhi. I can live with that.
On the other I was a 14, just 1 point to the left of Bill Clinton.

I took the political compass a while ago. I don't remember my exact result. It was about +5 left/right and +3 authoritarian. I think that's it. I do remember that I was very close to Blair which I thought was funny because Blair is usually thought of as being liberal.
On Ryan's test I scoured 33, which put me close to Dole.
The tests do have there separate merits. The Political Compass causes you to think more, where the other is quick and inspired more "knee-jerk" responses from me.

Results with Ryan's:
Score - 29, closest to Jack Kemp, second closet George Bush
Ok guys, I got a pretty cool one too, it gives you the % of what parties you are aligned with most. Even Minors
http://www.3pc.net/matchmaker/quiz.html
Here's my results:
Republican Party - 74%
Constitution Party - 68%
Natural Law Party - 58%
Libertarian Party - 37%
Reform Party - 37%
Democratic Party - 32%
Green Party - 26%
I don't know how accurate it is, but I like the first one!

The test is quite simple... or a bit too... Nevertheless here's my results
Green: 68%
Natural Law: 63%
Democrat: 58%
Republican: 53%
Libertarian: 47%
Reform: 47%
Constitution: 47%
I think that test makes me look less like a centrist... Anyway any mainstream Canadian parties offer a political agenda closer to the Greens than the Reform...

So far I guess it is getting pretty accurate results, however I do question the 58% with the Natural Law Party.

I think I have the weirdest result. Or what do you say about getting the green first, closely followed by libertarians, dems and reps all with equally high percentage?
1) Green Party 60%
2) Libertarian Party 55%
3) Democratic Party 55%
4) Republican Party 55%

I got
Economic Left/Right: 3.38
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.79
That fits pretty well, as I am an advocate of individual freedom on both social and economical issues, though I am more centrist than I thought. Many question were also very biased, and some weren't really politically defining. I am not sure that what is good for corporation always turns out to be good for the people but that doesn't mean I want state control or makes me a socialist, etc.
Still it was a lot of fun!

Wow, we got the exact same result on libertarian/authoritarian: -1.79. You are slightly to my right on the economic left/right though. Despite this you got much more conservative than me on the last score. Isn't it interesting that these tests seem to produce pretty different results?

I think the political compass test was far more elaborate and less could fall through the cracks. The compass made you think, also, which was good.

The compass is whacky, screwy, and comes from a lefty bias - yet is the best test I've seen so far.
Politopia is interesting as well -
http://www.politopia.com/
and gives you lots of options although not as many issues.
I'm towards the center- Northwest in politopia.

Politopia summary of me:
"West-You are a Westerner-a civil libertarian-which means that you advocate a diminished role for the government in the personal realm. You are more or less pleased the government's role in the economic realm. "
Interesting quiz, if nothing else.
