The homosexuals at The Sun have also joined the party:

PRESIDENTIAL hopeful John Kerry was branded a “sleazeball” last night by the parents of a young woman he allegedly tried to woo.

Alex Polier, 24, was named as the woman at the centre of a scandal that threatens to damage Democrat Kerry’s bid for the White House.

Her mother Donna claims Kerry, 60 — dubbed the new JFK — once chased Alex to be on his campaign team and was “after her”.

There is no evidence the pair had an affair, but her father Terry, 56, said: “I think he’s a sleazeball. I did kind of wonder if my daughter didn’t get that kind of feeling herself.

“He’s not the sort of guy I would choose to be with my daughter.”

Terry, of Malvern, Pennsylvania, added: “John Kerry called my daughter and invited her down to Washington two or three years ago.

“He invited her to be on his re-election committee. She talked to him and decided against it.”

Kerry is on the verge of sealing the Democratic nomination to take on George Bush in November.

The scandal broke yesterday on the Drudge Report website — which revealed President Bill Clinton’s affair with intern Monica Lewinsky.

One of Kerry’s former rivals, General Wesley Clark, told reporters earlier this week that Kerry’s campaign would “implode” over the issue.

Another Kerry rival, Howard Dean, has reversed his decision to quit the race because of the scandal.

Twice-married Kerry, a senator from Massachusetts, was last night believed to be relaxing with his wife Teresa, a Heinz heiress with a £350million fortune.

After his first marriage and before his second the Vietnam hero was a well-known playboy with TV star girlfriends.

Journalist Alex was in Kenya last night refusing to comment.

If the story were true, Kerry would have a harder time handling his wife, the widow of Pennsylvania Sen. John Heinz, who was killed in a 1991 midair collision in Lower Merion.

She told Elle magazine that she warned her first husband on the subject of adultery: "If you ever get something, I'll maim you. I won't kill you. I'll maim you."

Assuming the story is NOT true, yet it continues to get discussed for several more days, and Kerry chooses to stay above the fray, will it influence the Wisconsin primary at all?

"There is no evidence the pair had an affair,"

End of story.  No evidence except 2 Republicans claiming he invited their daughter to work on his re-election committee.  An offer, btw, she turned down.  So here's my question ... when could this affair have taken place then?

"One of Kerry’s former rivals, General Wesley Clark, told reporters earlier this week that Kerry’s campaign would “implode” over the issue."

Umm ... if this were true then why is Clark endorsing Kerry?  If he really felt this way would he endorse Dean or Edwards or no one at all?

This story is pointless garbage.  It just reinforces how pathetic certain elements of the GOP are.  They can't run a campaign on issues and ideas so they resort to sleaze.

I’m sorry but this story strikes me as complete horse sh**t!!!  It has now gone from being an affair to a “dirty old man” incident… how long before we find that all that happened was this girl being asked to work for one of his campaigns? Or something equally innocuous… and where is the wife beating Sydney Blumenthal or the black Clinton love child? That Druge promised us… the man has issues and not unlike J Edgar Hoover has a self loathing that has lead him to become fascinated with others personal lives and deviancies real or imagined…

As for the Sun it’s the UK equivalent of the New York Post.. very, very biased to the right… however when ever I’ve been over there I’ve generally read the Guardian or the Independent (rather like the New York Times or the Washington Post respectively) but anything the Sun says should be taken with a fistful of salt… added to this Time, WP and the other news outlets that Druge said where researching this have said that they are not…

To me it seems that it’s a rumour that while unlikely to be true cannot be quickly dismissed… so I would argue that the intention with this story is to bump the stories of AWOL, the lack of job growth and Bush’s sliding approval ratings off the headlines… just my take on it…

Kerry's wife sounds like a real winner - a really likeable first lady.  What kind of idiot marries someone like that?  Oh wait I forgot the 600 million dollars.

Someone who likes women with personality and a mind of their own.  Someone who views marriage as an equal partnership, not one of subservience and dominance.

Not everyone buys into the idea that a woman should be quiet, barefoot, and pregnant.

Nothing I said implied I liked those things - I just think the idea of a spouse that threatens their significant other with maiming is singularly unappealing.

BTW. If we suppose that Kerry would be forced to withdraw from to the Game, who will inherit his kingdom? There is huge amount delegates already chosen.

(This is theoretical question. I don't really expect that these stupid rumours are true)

I still would like to see Edwards as candidate.

If Kerry were to drop over dead then I think Edwards would "inherit the kingdom".  Dean destroyed himself.

Yeah, Edwards is the only really viable candidate left. Dean might improve if Kerry drops out though, so we would definitely get a race between Dean and Edwards. But Edwards would pull through, I'm pretty sure.

It was a blanket response to Realpolitik'outing of Drudge.

Personally, I don't find Drudge socially conservative.

Before they killed them all? I recall that Röhmer and a buch of others were killed b/c they had too much power within the NSDAP, but the alledged reason was homosexuality.

True... but Streicher (also a paedophile) was executed by the Allies after Nuremburg.
