It might, if Edwards is really serious about being the nominee.  He could bash Kerry about his liberal voting record, the republicans eagerness to face him and not Edwards, and Kerry's flip-flopping on issues.  

Yet, something tells me he wont.  I really think its possible this is Edwards' VP tour, just introducing himself.

He will gentlely bash Kerry, on free trade, region, and so.  The debate will make a HUGE difference.  It would be a Kerry sweep or an Edwards victory on Super Tuesday.

It depends.  If Edwards really goes after Kerry and debates circles around him (which I believe he can) then it will matter.  If Edwards goal is still to be the nominee, then he can blow Kerry out of the water, but I think that he may be playing for second place now.
