Gephardt would also be a great VP pick.

How was the caucus?

Ho hum.  We did a direct vote; no debating about the candidates.  So, I was kinda bored.  I got an official ballot (also ho hum), though Smiley.  Obviously there's a check by Edwards.

The final tally for our precinct was

* 22 Kerry
* 8 Edwards (including my mom Grin)
* 1 Dean
* 1 Kucinich
* 2 Undecideds (yes, you could vote for no one)

That doesn't sound too good. I guess he had less wins than Dean tonight.

Everybody "KNOWS" who the VP pick will be?
88'--- Dukakis-Jackson
92'--- Clinton/Brown
96'--- Dole-Powell
00'--- Gore-Kerry or Gore-Graham
00'--- Bush-McCain or Bush-Danforth

Who knew Bentsen, Gore, Kemp, Lieberman, and Cheney would end up in the slot.

Tough night kiddo.  That you were enamored by Edwards more than the others recommends you.  At the debate, he really went after Kerry to the extent that it caused Howard Fineman to comment, "well, he hasn't burned the bridge.  the bridge is smoldering, but it's still there.  Barely."  But don't put much stock in that.  Remember, Reagan (no he isn't the devil incarnate) and Bush went at each other's throats in the 1980 primary debates, only to go on to form a lasting and successful professional relationship.  Only time will tell.

I know you wanted Edwards to win Minnesota (and many others predicted he would win the state), but some people fail to realize how very liberal the people who attend the caucuses are in Minnesota.

Dennis Kucinich so far as received almost 20% of the vote.

These are the same people who nominated (State Wide):

Paul Wellstone

Ann Wynia (ran in the 1994 senate race)

John Marty (ran for governor in 1994)

Walter Mondale... just to name a few

John Edwards had very little chance in this state.

I support Senator Kerry fully.  I support defeating President Bush.  We can't starting bitching and moan about how Kerry isn't good enough.

(I think Edwards should be Att'y General, Bayh for VP)

Johnson ran a serious smear campaign against Kennedy and they really fought it out before he chose him as VP although that was more to secure the South lol.

There was less media spotlight back then though.
