Election 1972 "No Surprise"
Democratic Candidates:
Hubert Humphrey
George McGovern
George Wallace
Edmund Muskie
Henry Jackson
Shirley Chisholm
Of these candidates all have announced that they will enter the primaries except for Humphrey who pledges to again remain out of the primaries.
Republican
Richard Nixon
John Ashbrook
The President faces little to no opposition to his renomination.
Next, the first primaries.

Don't be so harsh. And the Clinton vs Bush 2008 was a real cliff hanger.

Don't be so harsh. And the Clinton vs Bush 2008 was a complete piece of garbage, one of the worst attempts at suspense ever.
Not saying it's impossible for you to write a good timeline, just saying you need to focus more on the issues and the political landscape, not needless suspense.

Okay, found one, and checked it out (2012 A new Face). You need more details, if I wanted to see your timeline, and I wanted to just scroll down, honestly, some of comments you got were longer than your updates. I say check out Ben Constine's timeline

Garrison, you test people's patience by having 7 or 8 primary updates. Condense it, like I do.

Well I put the remaining primaries in one thread.
And what I was pointing out about Ben was that he said that I "test everyones patience by having seven or eight primary updates." That is why I said what I said and I stand by what I said.

No you still don't get it. The idea is write ABOUT the primaries. For instance:
It was no surprise that Muskie captured New Hampshire. After all, with his frontrunner status and the fact that he represented a neighboring state, Muskie was by far the strongest candidate in the Granite State. McGovern would perform better than expected, building on McCarthy's support from the 1968 election, but much like his fellow "New Leftist" not doing well enough to knock out the frontrunner. However what would happen next would change the nature of the race forever.....
See, look how easy that was? Now you do it.

Really the only good one is the Henry Wallace TL. If you don't want to do the research or you don't know enough info just try to write with good style so u don't look like a fool.
