Any reason as to why Wilson got almost 60% of the vote there?  He was only the second candidate to ever break 60% in Colorado (Bryan got 85% in 1896).  Was there something war-related, or was it just a fluke?

I'd guess that left-over populism from the Bryan era carried over.  An how popular would an and eastern Republican like Charles Evans Hughes had been in Colorado, anyway?
