Obama's approval ratings stay in the high forties and low fifties.

Rick Perry/ John Thune vs. Barack Obama/ Joe Biden

Agree mostly with this map

Republicans would be real idiots, if in such curcumstances they nominate someone such weak and pathetic like Perry

I can't see Louisiana, Arkansas or West Virginia going Obama with approval ratings like I described. Maybe flip Colorado and Arizona?

That map wasn't my real map, it was a default map, I changed it to my real prediction.

This would be mind-numbingly stupid. Perry managed 39% in 2006, and I'd say odds are 50-50 that he'll lose to Kay Bailey Hutchison in a primary this year, and he'd still be vulnerable to a Democrat in the general election. The only good trait the governor has is his hair. He would be completely dominated by a startled deer, not to mention Obama. Plus, that secession thing would make him sound un-American (because he is).

Obama- 407
Perry- 131

I think he's talking about Perry losing in the primary.
