Apparently their scheme to evade taxes was not designed intelligently enough.

Wait... a creationist park called Dinosaur Adventure Land? Was this about cavemen riding Dinosaurs bareback (no, not what you think)? Are there really people who literally believe that? I always took that as a joke.

It's hours are amusing.  It's open Mon-Fri "by appointment only" and closed Sunday.  If you want to go in without an appointment, Saturday it is.

There's a bicycle repair shop in Frankfurt Heddernheim that proclaims its opening hours as "thursday 3pm to 6pm and by appointment". It's run by the guy who owns the house, and doesn't seem to know what to do with the too-small old store on the ground floor. And who has a day job.

There's a bookstore in Freedom, New Hampshire near where my relatives live that doesn't even have hours and is open by appointment only. It's run by two retired lawyers who sell off their collection of antique, used, and rare books.

THis is too good.

Why do I feel like this park could easily be located in North Korea if you just replaced "God" with "Dear Leader"?

If the news of this parks closing saddens you don't worry.  There is a museum in Kentucky that is like this but more "educational". I went there one time a few years back when we had some time to kill before the boats opened up.  My two favorite exhibits were the entrance dinosaur which was some sort of sauropod that looked like Dino with a saddle on, and the footprints of both dinosaurs and man on the same layer of mud.  The best was when i asked our tour guide why they allowed people to touch the foot print mud because it could damage one of the most valuable fossils in mankinds history, she turned and with no hesitation said "how us would anybody believe its real." I have seen the museum featured in a few documentaries and history channel episodes.

It's sad how scared religious people get scared about atheists. The other day an ad for Tulsa Atheists (I know, inconceivable!) came on and one of my parent's fundie friends who was over was like "Oh no atheists are getting mobilized! Society is in trouble!" I facepalmed and said this: "Religious people make up 85% of the people in this nation. Do you honestly think less than 10% (I was accounting for agnostics who just don't care) of the population is somehow going to threaten the beliefs of the vast majority of the nation?" This moron said "yes, they already own this nation".

Yes, this commercial scared the aforementioned dumbsh*t:

Have no fear, heathens!  There's still the Creation Museum just out of Louisville.  I'm only 150 miles away, so how can I not?
