Mao Po Dou Fu (Mapo Tofu, if you prefer the anglicized spelling). We have it about once a week.
And some napa stewed with vinegar and sugar. (call it "sweet/sour napa soup" if you like.)
with rice, of course. and the obligatory bottle of cheap Australian shiraz.

I've only been up a for a few hours, but I had 3 soft tacos from Taco Bell for breakfast. I'll probably have a ham sandwhich for dinner tomorrow morning.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

Lovely shoulder of lamb in garlic sauce at my favorite French restaurant (I'm on a little holiday to tourist zones). also:
Kir - a French cocktail made from blackcurrant liquer and white wine
a solid vegetable soup - you know where its sort seems to have been in the blender?
glass of red house wine
a duck pate with toast and dressings
a creme cognac
espresso
All for $23. The enormous price is due to the New Zealand lamb (melts in the mouth). Dinners with locally sourced ingredients at this same place are more like $10.

I didn't. I didn't get mum to boil me some eggs and pack'em in my tiffin box. I bought them at a supermarket ready-boiled (and dyed like easter eggs. As boiled eggs are bound to be at German supermarkets no matter what the season. They just stock more of them round easter time.)
It may please you that, in thirty degree °C weather like today's, I tend to wear a thoroughly traditional gardener's strawhat.

There's actually a Five Guys in Macon, we passed it on the way home from Florida. And it takes about 45 minutes to get to Macon from where I live.

Well the Five Guys near my house has been "Coming Soon" for about 8 months and still won't open til next week, so I go to one about 20 minutes away in Wayne, NJ

by the way.. the pot roast was delicious.. falling apart goodness... and I've developed a knack for good gravy. Always use the drippings and use flour and butter as thickeners, not corn starch.
The same goes for yummy mashed potatoes.. lots of butter to make them rich and milk to make them fluffy.
