Kit Bond Says He'll Vote for Sotomayor

“WASHINGTON -- Republican Sen. Kit Bond says he'll support Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, breaking with the vast majority of the GOP.

The retiring Missouri senator says he disagrees with some of Sotomayor's rulings and statements, but that she's a well-qualified jurist. He becomes the seventh Republican to publicly announce he will support President Barack Obama's first high court nominee.

Bond says that partisanship shouldn't drive decisions on judges.”

This logic baffles me. If he disagrees with her decisions, why would he vote for her. Would he put a Hitller or Stalin or Mao in power because they were "qualified for the position?"  If they obtain the position, they are then only going to make decisions that you disagree with.

If the Republic of the United States goes down the drain, it will be because of Republicans like these. They are always with you in principle, but when it comes to voting, they turn their backs on their principles and vote the other way.  It is so persistent that I believe that they must draw some pleasure out of betraying those that voted for them and their principles.

Sen. Jeff Sessions and other Republicans can talk this nomination into the ground.  Let's see what they do. You can encourage them by sending faxes and calling at the numbers below. Encourage them to filibuster.

Thanks,

Paul Streitz

Mexicans shouldn't be allowed to hold public office, right?  That's your point.

So he must agree with enough of them - that's what makes her qualified in his mind.

She's Puerto Rican. I'm Mexican and I would never vote for Sonia Sotomayor. It has nothing to do with race.

I'll tell you right now, if your a GOPher and you vote for Sotomayor, your not a RINO, you just don't care about civil rights!

I would've supported Sotomayor if she never made it clear that she is a Anti-White racist.

I'm not partisan on Supreme court nominees.

But civil rights matter to me, Sotomayor is a racist and I refuse to support her.

I was using the ignorant application of "Mexican" to all Latinos as a part of my mocking of what he is really trying to say.

When Stark compares Sotomayor with Hitler, does this mean that he actually approves of Sotomayor?
