Yes, but when Bush did anything close to wiretapping it was "OMG BUSH IS SATAN"

Nothing concerns you regarding Barry, does it Vlad?

How is this in any way comparable to illegal warrantless wire-tapping? This is just a way for people to alert the Obama administration and the DNC and whoever is in charge of the health reform campaign to the lies or misinformation that the Republicans are spreading, so that they can dispel them.

Except the fact that it wasn't illegal, I pretty much agree with your post.

You people are being dicks. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. And for the record, in a professional setting, I would use the threat of criminal prosecution against an opponent if it was substantially related to the issue at hand. I would also report unethical behavior, whether or not it was an opponent or ally.

Let me make this crystal clear: Snitches are Bitches.

I would never give anybody's personal information to the federal government, no matter how much they pissed me off. This is going way too far.

Oh but noes! We have to stop this evil evil extreme far right Nazi flag waving extremist douchebags! Even if it means we ask our zombie like followers to report personal information on people to us! Boy do we still love freedom of expression and privacy!!!!

Brownshirt tactics like this piss me off, no matter who's doing it.

I guess if being part of the solution is wrong, I don't want to be right. If wanting to be governed for a change and wanting high ethics is fascism, we were on the wrong side of WWII. Tongue

Hahaha,  Obama and his handlers do not represent high ethics or governing.  He has lied about reforms like bringing the troops home, hiring lobbyists and raising taxes on people making less than $125000 a year.  But because he  is a Democrat and doesn't act really arrogant like George W. Bush, you support him while he does many of the same things.  By the way, neither of those matter to me.  I am no racist.  Obama's economic policies are creating a corporate state, just like Benito Mussolini.

Richard Nixon also had supporters report on his political opponents and he got in trouble for it.  In order for the president to get people to stop saying these things, he would have to sue someone in civil court and win.  But no, he has to get supporters to report on opponents, like  they are political commissars.

It's not about his ethics. It's about mine....and what would you rather us do? Find out who is saying what and then going out and claiming that isn't true or suing them? I am having trouble seeing you as honest in this situation- what is your real motive? - besides smearing not one, but two presidents?

all the white house is asking is that if you get sent a chain email or see something on the      internet that misrepresents heathcare bill currently before congress, that you send them a an email a bout it so they can clear the record.  I don't see so illegal or scandals about this, people do that all the time if you send somebody an email on the internet there is not telling where that email could wind up.you send an email to one of your buddy's he send an email to one of his or her buddy's before you know it it your email wind up half way around the world.  if you write something on this site there is not telling who could be reading it. thats just the chance you take on the internets.

here is the actual letter calling for people to send the them false information regarding the heathcare bill
http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/Facts-Are-Stubborn-Things/

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health" insurance reform that seems fishy, send it toflag@whitehouse.gov.
