OK, so let us suppose that Kerry runs in 2008 as the "I told you so" candidate, and by that route or some other he manages to win the nomination. Meanwhile McCain wins the nomination of his own party as in real life.

Who do you think would be the running mates in this scenario, and how does the general election play out? Discuss, and use maps if you wish.

When will Republicans undestand that, especially after crisis brokes, they weren't going to win in 2008, regardless of candidate?

Kerry victory marging might be lower, but still he'd win.

I bet Ohio would go before Florida...as Florida fell pretty quickly to Bush in 2004 and Ohio took into the morning.
