I must have missed something--what authority do you have to administer federal elections?

Could you provide a link? Thanks.

Section 1, Clause 4: The Secretary or
Deputy Secretary
of Forum Affairs shall then
grant the request
to absentee vote
publically
, at which point the voter may proceed to vote in the Absentee Voting Booth.

Thank you.
However, I see a couple of problems here. I don't see where EarlAW actually appointed you Deputy SoFA--he was merely answering questions you had about the office.
Furthermore, even if he did appoint you, being appointed Deputy SoFA requires the consent of the President, and I do not see where that happened.

Well he spoke to me about doing this favor in a hurry so I did it. I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly. I guess it doesn't really matter if this is closed down, because those who voted will be allowed to vote legitimately in the new absentee booth that would be created. However I see no problem with allowing this to continue, as it otherwise the whole schedule is kinda screwed up.

Well, as it appears that no Deputy SoFA was appointed through the correct channels, I would assume that Earl will just set up the regular voting booth when he gets a chance, like has been done in past elections where an absentee booth was not properly opened.

Indeed... This voting booth is quite illegal, in my opinion...

I was not notified by Earl that he had appointed you Deputy SoFA. So let's just shut this down until he comes back. He may have forgotten to PM or some other understandable mistake, but better safe than sorry.

Well, as there is no proof than the voting booth is legal, I will consider it illegal. They can't lose their vote because they voted in an illegal booth, since illegal booths doesn't exist for the SoFA.

Don't worry about my vote, I deleted it and will vote in the regular booth when it opens!

The law clearly states the absentee requests must be made in a public thread.
