There are many places in Europe that I might want to visit, but live there? No.

Britain's probably where I'd feel most welcome.

Good question.  I'd probably choose Norway or Sweden, because the weather would be most like home.  Plus, I think I have more in common with the average Norwegian than I would with your average Alabaman for instance.

Culturally, Norway is closer to Minnesota than it is to, say, Italy.

So, it'd be an easy transition.

I wouldn't mind the UK, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, or Spain, though.  Iceland would probably get boring... and I don't like rotted shark meat that tastes like urine. (though who am I to judge.. we soak perfectly good cod in lye for a week and then have to soak it in water for another week lest we be poisoned by it.)

Probably France. But only because I have no other choice. Well that and Britain has become awfully freedom hating lately.

Maybe I'd prefer Sweden because the kids would get hot lunch at school.  Those Norwegians are just so barbaric.

Even if you knew German you wouldn't be able to understand a damn thing they say in Vienna.  Still, Vienna is definitely a world class city.

I'm going to answer this anyway.

UK, Portugal, Norway, Greece, Spain, Germany, Austria, Denmark or Hungary. I'd like London more than anywhere else in Europe I think, but almost anywhere else in the UK would be horrible. Maybe Bristol, Bath, Edinburgh and Brighton would be OK.
