well yeah.. my family goes through well over a gallon of maple syrup per year.  I've just never even thought about buying it by the gallon.

We have maple syrup made locally here.. since we also have a lot of sugar maple forests... but I've only ever bought it in smaller containers.  Otherwise we go for the cheap stuff for pancakes or whatever.
