What is so damn special about Staten Island. I had the misfortune off driving across it a few weeks ago, and aside from the Verrazzano Bridge (which was outrageously expensive) there was nothing notable about it.

The town in California? If so, that is a most idiosyncratic choice, unless you have a lot of life insurance, and wish to maximize your chances of being murdered, because you consider you sojourn on this mortal coil just unbearable, but suicide is not covered in your policy.

I'm not sure I'd say South Beach is THE best place in the world, but it's definitely high on the list.
