What is so damn special about Staten Island. I had the misfortune off driving across it a few weeks ago, and aside from the Verrazzano Bridge (which was outrageously expensive) there was nothing notable about it.

I've always loved my hometown of Ottawa, but I loved Halifax when I went there.

San Diego is a worthy candidate, assuming we are talking about a place for an English speaking American to actually live.

The town in California? If so, that is a most idiosyncratic choice, unless you have a lot of life insurance, and wish to maximize your chances of being murdered, because you consider you sojourn on this mortal coil just unbearable, but suicide is not covered in your policy.

Ya, I assume that you were jesting.

You mean you wouldn't want to live in a town with a street named after this guy?

That makes the people watching that much better though!

I'm not sure I'd say South Beach is THE best place in the world, but it's definitely high on the list.
