The election is IRV though it doesn't matter, Rybak will likely break at 60-70% on the first preference. He has no remotely legitimate opponent. Which gives me the luxury to have some fun with my ranking.

http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/elections/candidate-filings.asp

1-Joey Lombard
2-Bob Carney Jr.
3-John Charles Wilson
4-RT Rybak
5-Uh, Tom Fiske?

Don't really care from here on, might research more to get a full list. But my top two preferences are due to their "Political Party or Principle" alone. The third was due mostly to how close he lived to me, but after Googling his party's name and seeing how awesome it is, I HAVE to support him. He might even take my second pref, though there is no way in hell Lombard loses first due to his "party".

Uhhh... knowing absolutely nothing about the candidates other than name, party and address...

I guess I am less-decisive than BRTD, not being able to make a choice armed with that knowledge.

Well I posted some things about one of them. Like I said though, it is largely moot, Rybak is going to be re-elected without even trying.

Well I can drop Carney from my ballot. I just found out what the "Censored" stands for: Republican. Carney is now suing the city who denied him the right to label himself a "Moderate Progressive Republican" saying the candidate can list party or principle, but not both.

Now for the best part: The Republican Party has NOT endorsed Carney despite this. Instead they have endorsed the same candidate as the Independence Party: Papa John Kolstad. Kolstad has ran for office before in 2006 for Attorney General. Under what party? Green. That's right, the Republican Party is endorsing a Green.

LOL, and people say the Greens aren't a Republican front.

The Republicans appear to be fast becoming a Green front.
