They do? I thought they only knew the fairytale collection, think that's all to Hanau's most famous sons.

Making Americans exactly like uneducated Germans. Tongue

"Marokai" is just something I made up randomly when thinking of usernames for games or other websites. Variations of it are "Marokii" or "Larinokai."

Blue, of course, is the color of the Democratic Party, hence, Marokai Blue. It does lend itself to serious misspelling of course, such as Mariokai, Marokey, Morokai, and my personal favorite, Macaroni.

Macaroni Blue would be the best username on the forum if someone went for it, for what it's worth

Sibboleth is a little joke on my surname. Widdershins (when I use that) is a little joke on another surname in the family. Realpolitik was also a joke, but I can't remember it very well.

Oh, that awful stuff which is my user name...

Well, the first time I subscribed to a forum, I wanted first to put my real first name last name, but well, I told me no, I shouldn't, and meanwhile during a while I enjoyed speaking reversed, uoy ees tahw I naem?? Eh, I can speak, write, like that almost as fast as normal in French, and m'I ton dab rof taht ni hsilgnE oot. I also wanted something unique, that I would be sure that nobody would have ever elsewhere on the net, so that I could keep the same everywhere, and as I've been finally enough stupid to put my first name and my last name, that's it in reversed. And the price to pay for all of this has been this awful user name. Though, pronounced with an excessive Russian accent, that's great.

When I was in the Air Force stationed in Florida I cut my own hair way too short one day and a co-worker said "Dead man walking" when I came in to work.  The Sean Penn movie was out at the time.  It stuck.  When the internet came into my life I wanted a unique name and went with dead0man0walking, but that's much too long so I dropped the second zero and the "walking".  Obviously there were going to be a lot of "deadman"s out there, hence the zero in the middle...sadly a lot of people think it means "omen"...as in dead omen....that's not what I'm going for.  I've been dead0man for a long long time.  The only alias I ever use is the occasional punkNdrublic, but that would only be done in a FPS where I didn't want people to know I was dead0man.  I suppose I've used guy0incognito for that purpose in chat rooms, but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Ha sey. Tiaw. Evah a kool ereh:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=99664.msg2085812#msg2085812

When I say it's difficult to put the "^" on the net, I mean in user name fields, it's very rare to find some that accepts it, so as I wanted something that could pass everywhere, I've put back the "s" of the old French.

So, yes, that's Benoît.

There was a famous Canadian wrestler named Benoit (pronounced "ben-wah" not "ben-oight").  He was very well liked and then did a very bad thing a few years ago.  One of those horribly sad stories.

My "Grumpy Gramps" name is courtesy of Torie.... Wink

I adopted Hashemite as my universal username after returning from a trip to Jordan in 2005. I don't know why, but it sticks on to this day.

Minister of Free Time was a cabinet position in Mauroy Government in France in the early '80's.

Héhé, yup, thanks to precise it, that's ben-wah, damn ben-oight is awful to French ears...

Oh, and, when I really got bored, since recently, I can be GuestfromFrance on icq chats, though, not sure I'll keep this name a long time as long as I'll go there. Chat can be good when you want to troll around. And on Yahoo! Games, I'm beyondeur, though, I find it a bit pretentious now, but well I kept it. Other than that, on all the forums, I'm tsionebreicruoc.

Haha. Actually, if you try with the Russian accent you could thought it has been made for it. You wrote it or...copy and paste?

As I have explained many times:

I have always been deceptively skillful at athletics (though far from great, just better than I look like I ought to be).  When in competition of any kind, I have always given my full effort.  So, when I was in gym class back in high school, the kids used to call me "Super Soulty" (Soulty being my normal nickname).  When I signed up for AIM, I really didn't have another nickname I could use, so I used it.  When I came here, I just used my AIM name, so I could remember it, thinking I wouldn't be around too long anyway.

5 1/2 years later....

5 1/2 years later.... You make a grand return to Atlasia! Yeah?

No, 5 1/2 years later, I never left.
