interesting question on DU.

I think they both do. Bush has hated Kerry ever since the first debate if not sooner, and Kerry hates Bush for funding the Swift Boat Liars.

They don't hate each other.  Just typical election year banter.  It's like saying do the Redskins hate the Cowboys just because they are rivals.

I don't think they hate each other, but it clearly seems like Bush dislikes Kerry more than Kerry dislikes Bush.

Take a look at their donors and founders. Maybe not Bush neccesarily, but Karl Rove is behind them.

You're right and wrong.  Bush didn't fund the Swifties, but kerry does blame Bush for it and therefore hates him for it.

Bush probably believes Kerry's 'immortal soul' is damned for his stance on abortion.  Does that constitute hate?

I'm sure they both hate one another, in a sense.  Both are enormously ambitious, egotistical individuals, and therefore probably hate anything and anyone that gets in the way of power.  If hate works as a motivation to beat the other, they'll use it.  Kerry however would be better at controlling his emotions.
