Coopted some of the Blair policies concerning war on terror and seemed very disliked by his fellow Labor members.  Hope someone challenges him from the left, because I don't see him being reelected.

It's virtually impossible at this point, but David Cameron's hardly wildly popular either.

I'll agree to that. He's better than the alternative.

Woeful. Utterly woeful.

But the joke is really on those in the Labour Party who thought he would be good. He was essentially marketed as 'Attlee 2'; a breath of fresh air after Blair but he really has been dreadful. He is more opportunistic than Blair, because Blair was so smooth you didn't know whether he was genuine. With Brown you know he isn't. He is a man who looks uncomfortable in his own shoes with the flashbulb smiles and the announcements on England winning this and that, or the death of a celebrity going hand in hand with silence on the important issues. He single handedly mis-managed our economy as Chancellor and set the ground for our recession and couldn't stop tinkering when he was PM so that now we will be the last major economy out of the recession with a doubling of the national debt.

He spent his whole life in the shadow treasury and treasury, never tackled any of the tough 'public target' jobs out there like health or education and brought his bullying seiged cabal mentality with him into Downing Street.

He will go down as a poor Chancellor and an even worse Prime Minister. And to think of all the Scottish politicans who have left us.

'At least he's not David Cameron' Yes thank goodness he's not!

He didn't set the ground for the current recession, although he should have done more to prevent it. The real cause of the recession was the "greed is good" culture created by Thatcher.

That said, he's been fairly poor at this. He should have remained Chancellor, I'd say.

You will find that has existed in this country and indeed all 'capitalist' nations for a long time Smiley If you think Thatcher was 'greedy' cast your mind back a hundred or so years ago...

He's been a bad Leader of the Labour Party. As far as being PM goes, not perfect but I prefer him to his predecessor. Meh.

I was tempted to vote FF considering his role in helping ruin the Labour Party. However, since the Conservative Party isn't much better, I still voted HP.

You think that's what PMs are for? I don't.

It's bad enough they do that sh!t, but I prefer them to be at least real and honest enough to look uncomfortable at it.
