I assume that TheorySpark will release a 2012 version of President Forever + Primaries. What would you like to see in it?

There are quite a lot of things i'd like to see.

I'd like to see more polls in the game, such as the favorable rating of each candidate, the President's Approval Rating, and exit polls on election day.

I'd also like to see a more realistic election night. States are called early if a candidate is about 6-7% ahead. It would be more realistic if they were called based on exit polls, and a message came up saying "MSNBC has called Ohio", "Fox News has called Florida" etc. I would also like to see a recoutn option if a state has a margin of 0.5% or less.

The Vice Presidential Candidates should have issue positions too.

It would also be cool if you could play as the President after being elected, and make all the descisions the President has to make.

It would also be good if the Senatorial, Gubernatorial and House Scenarios were decided by the popular vote.

This would be a FANTASTIC update to the president forever + primaries system.  I've always wished the P4E folks would make more realistic news stories, almost as if they're creating a narrative about how the election is going (and including job approval/favorability numbers is a big part of that).

Does anyone have any idea typically when the P4E folks release the new presidential election version? When was the President Forever + Primaries 2008 released, for example?

P4E 2008 was released in October 2006, I think.

It will be interesting to see how the Primaries will work on the new game engine (which I assume will be used). Will, for example, the Iowa Caucus have it's own election night?

Anyone happen to know if the 80soft people have updated any information on what to expect from Pres Forever 2012 + Primaries? I like ALL of the idea that were being mentioned above. Any of those being incorporated?

Anthony has said that there will be "new features" included in the game.
