I would like to take this opportunity to put my fine academic expertise into play. Satan in Hebrew meant the accuser or an oppostion. So a satanist in the literal term means one who accuses or opposes. When dealing with literal meanings, anyone who opposes another candidate would be considered a satanist. It was never actually believed that there was an actual figure as we think today that looks like a devil from Hollywood. And as for hell; hell meant nothingness. Unfortunately, today ppl are too uneducated to learn this for themselves and picture flames with a talking devil. Flames being tied into hell is an image from Hinnam Valley. For those of you who lack Hebrew skills like myself, Hinnam Valley translates to Hell Valley where the Canaanites burned their first born children due to a lack of food for everybody at certain times in ancient Israel. So, quite literally, you had nonbelievers burning in hell.
