Please elaborate Freethinker, as I see no way how a privatised military will not bring chaos, confusion, greed, and lack of patriotism.

     I think he just means mercenary forces communities can hire for their protection. While not illogical in the libertarian paradigm, I think a citizen's militia would be a much better solution, since armies-for-hire would make large scale belligerence far too easy for anybody with deep pockets.
