Ha... that reminds me of something interesting.  About four years ago, when that whole business kicked up in Lebanon, again, it just so happened to be my birthday, and we just so happened to be looking through the newspaper archives for stories that happened on our birthdays for this one class I had.  The front page of the New York Times for the day I was born talked about... the United States pulling out of Lebanon.

August 16, 1990: China tested a nuclear weapon of some kind... Saddam Hussein brought all the Americans and British people in Kuwait to Iraq... but nothing of much consequence besides my birth.
