Seems likely now. Option 1.

I think he needs to have a press conference and publicly apologize for his behavior. There is no need to censor him, the house has more important things to worry about.

Yeah, if the House commenced censorship, that would be an issue.

Undecided between 3 and 4, so I voted 3 - b/c that's how I lean.

This.  But really, we have gotten all the mileage we're going to get out of this particular moment.  We needn't milk it for all it's worth. In a matter of hours, I am sure Michelle Bachmann or Michael Steele will provide us with fresh fodder.

He has flat out said no more apologies (he's even told his party this), so I do fully expect this to go through.

Yeah, and really...I don't want another apology.  I want Democrats to stop making a martyr out of the knucklehead. We're acting like this sort of thing is rare.  Perhaps in a joint session speech and all, but really...as morons go...there's no shortage of them on the right, helping us out every chance they get.

It's not that the right doesn't have some really brilliant and articulate people to put forward.  They just aren't.  I think George Will and Tom Sowell use too many big words for the Michelle Bachmanns of the world to understand.

Tough call.  He probably should be censured, but I don't know if he will or not.

It was predictable that the parties would flip-flop on filibusters when Obama became President.

But who predicted they would flip-flop on how to respond when Joe Wilson calls the President a liar?

Looking at the poll so far, it is odd how 17 people say he should be censured while 17 says he shouldn't be.  I would have expected the "he should" responses to be much greater.

I think there is a general misunderstanding that censure is a form of punishment.  A motion to censure merely expresses the opinion of the assembly, and in the real world, motions to censure can be amended to motions to commend.

It's really hardly worth the news it's garnering.

I said "no," and it appears I'm probably going to be right.

The House couldn't even agree to censure Barney Frank, but they'll agree to censure Wilson?

Was he officially censured or did this legislation signify something different?

I don't really understand why so many of you thought he wouldn't be. It was pretty clear this was coming for many days.

It was not an official censure, and instead, a resolution of "disapproval."  You can find a copy of the resolution here.

A censure is a big deal.  It was last issued to Gerry Studs and Philip Crane for having sex with underaged (16 and 17 respectively) pages in 1983.

I don't really understand why so many of you thought he wouldn't be. It was pretty clear this was coming for many days.

It may be semantics, but it's "important" semantics in an unwritten tier system of punishment.
