Manmohan Singh.

There seems to be a working majority coalition in this survivor at present.

As in almost all survivors Wink, except those with guys on the SAME "side" (Stalin's inner circle from Kalwejt or my "Soviet and sister party leaders")

Of course from me.
Would you have expected me not to vote Nehru over Lal Bahadur Shastri, Manmohan Singh, Charan Singh ? True, I've voted for Rajiv and that may have made things a bit obscure... Wink

It's not easy now to vote, because Nehru had a real personal role in the fact that the independence was, "mostly", peaceful (again, far more than it might have been, given the "environment"...).
But he stuck India or at least let India be stuck in a mix of colonial bureaucratism, Soviet inertia and caste-driven fatalism.
That's a pity.

Singh is off already. The choice is between Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Shastri

Of course, Shastri was the only non-dynast from the Congress who wasn't a tool, and he should've lived longer, but in terms of relative importance, it's no contest.
