Based on estimated population data by the U.S. Census in 2002, if Puerto Rico was a state it would have 2 Senators and about 9 Congressmen or ~11 EVs...being about the size of Wisconsin, Indiana, or Massachusetts.

My question is: Would Puerto Rico be more like Wisconsin (Swing), Indiana (Rep), or Massachusetts (Dem)? Or will it form different parties?

Probably be slight Dem, generally poorer urban areas (San Juan is probably full of them) pull left.

I think it will be slight Dem, probably somewhere between Oregon and Washington.

If PR was apportioned new seats based on the 2000 census, it would start at 6 CDs or 8 EVs.
