I do this in class sometimes when I'm bored. Every time the person sitting next to me is amazed and shocked that I can do this. I'd guess something like 95%+ of the people on this board could do it though.

No, but I could name most if I wanted to. There's just a few I don't know/don't care about.

I know  about 20 by both firstname and surname, 20 more by surname only.  The other 60 are a bit blurry.

I've tried to do it a few times, but I always forget a handful of the boring ones no one has ever heard of.

Probably 80% last names only. Probably 60% first and last names.

They still have Martinez as a senator and they haven't put in Kirk yet. Although he got sworn in about 2 and a half hours ago so I'll give them a break.

I start in the West usually since the states are bigger and easier to organize geographically (and you don't have to remember if you've missed Alaska & Hawaii's)...sort of go up from California and snake up and down Washington-Idaho-Nevada-Arizona-New Mexico-Colorado wise.

My technique is usually alphabetical order of the states, but that breaks down sometimes when I can't remember the alphabetical order.
