Everything in my life is bad. Everyone is sadistic, annoying, or just plain sad. Sports are idiotic. The President isn't worth fighting for. Goddam it, what do I do?

Sharing something more specific, might engender more specific comments form unlicensed layman who might wish to help, but if it is "serious," you need to seek a therapist and do it sooner rather than later. That much I know - I really know - from experience - up close and personal. Good luck!

If this is serious, you should probably be more specific about your problems or seek professional help. I've been there and done that, still do talk to mine occasionally. My problems are probably trivial to most other people considering how blessed I am in many areas of life, but, as they say, your problems are your problems and its unfair to compare them to others.

First, welcome to the forum.

Second, let me suggest that if you take a look at "everything" and "eveyone" you will find that things aren't quite as bad as you seem to feel at this time.

Third, put together a plan (and work to implement it) to make your life better.

Fourth, you are correct that the current President is no worth supporting.

Finally, hope things improve for you.

Yes, plus no doubt many other reasons.  I suggest a spree!

There are lots of medicines out there that can balance the imbalance of chemicals causing your depression.

So there is no option of being depressed for 'real', valid reasons?

Of course there are.  But the depression you feel is caused by an imbalance or lack of chemicals that make you feel normal.

This imbalance can in turn be caused a myriad of experiences, etc.

While it is always possible to treat depression without medicine, medicine often proves to be the quickest way out... it helps to make you feel normal again so you can work through the issues that started it from a better position.

Just from what the OP posted, it appears that much of the depression is caused by many different factors... rather than just one traumatic experience that could be dealt with just by talking about it.

Best idea. Today's been a better day, though. For those of you that actually care, I don't want to share.

Good.  We don't have time to listen to you anyway.  I mean... we have time to sit around on a forum and blab away... but not enough to listen to you.
