My cat used to be a big licker of human bodies, too. I can't recall him licking my ear, though. Forehead, yes. Nose (that was weird).

Very fine sandpaper. It's an absurdly lovely feeling on places like the inside of the hand. Not so much where human skin is pulled more tightly over bone.
