Assuming these are both college students:

Person A: Is not in a fraternity. Hates them strongly and refuses to ever go to a frat party. Despite this he gets drunk every weekend and frequently during the week too when possible. Frequently misses class as a result, and just does well enough to pass and gets his degree. Doesn't have big post-college plans though, just plans on keeping an easy job that pays enough to sustain his lifestyle and mostly continue to just drink and party all the time.

Person B: Is in a fraternity. Goes to their parties frequently, though he only drinks occasionally and never gets completely intoxicated. Studies hard for classes and has a high GPA. Also has strong post-college plans and has goals of a strong career and homeownership and has little interest in continuing the party lifestyle post-college.

For me it's person A obviously.

Who would I respect more?  No idea, not enough information.  All else being equal, I'd respect them equally.

A, though I liked, and like, getting high. Person B should not be in college.  He or she is wasting resources and time, and should be booted. Ya, I have a fist in my velvet glove. Who knew?  Tongue

I think you have those reversed, old man.  I wouldn't respect either particularly, but the first fellow sounds like Meursault.
