If you answered yes.... Which ones?

Maybe your professor has had a working paper or two published.

As for me... I don't read whole journals per say, but I do read individual working papers. I mostly like Labor Economics related ones and Econometrica.

Nobody, other than, possibly, the editors, reads the "whole journals": that's like reading an encyclopedia, appropriate only for diagnosed autists. I do try to browse the contents page of the few majors when I am in the library. Of course, I read some papers published there all the time: when I need a particular paper, I read it.

Also, it's "per se"

I've had a professor suggest to grad students to read entire academic journals, but not for Economics. When I was in school I think I found Quarterly Journal of Economics to be a little more accessible than Econometrica (or AER.

I read my RSS feeds. I have the Economist on my feeds, though I only read it time to time. /. (Slashdot) surprisingly has some academic/economic content.

Economics journals? Just a few selected articles. (If you count history-of-thought pieces, then somewhat higher.)

I've read far more law review articles, but even there, I doubt I've ever read an entire issue "cover to cover." I just download whatever looks interesting.

Hey thanks GG, though I don't see the need to be redundant.  BTW, can you see the little Thai character - น - which looks like a 'u'?
