It was a nice pipe dream while it lasted, but I fully expect Corzine to win it now.

I'm hopeful, but it doesn't look good.

Then there isn't much point in being hopeful now is there? Tongue

I'm as confident in this as Ben is that Deeds will still win. Smiley

I doubt somebody who is reduced to attacking his opponent's weight has much chance. Daggett will under perform on election day, resulting in a 5 to 6 point Christie win. This often happens with independents and third party candidates polling well, but not nearly close enough to win.

Wishful thinking.  Obama is almost certain to make an election eve stop here, giving Corzine the boost he needs to win.

History would show that a republican needs to be leading going into election day to win in NJ. If things are still tied in November, Corzine should be able to coast in. But maybe you have an unique perspective why history won't repeat itself this year?

Daggett's awful ballot position in conservative areas and great placement in liberal areas is itself enough to give Christie victory.

I'm not sure if it was Moderate or if I read it on politickernj, but the Bloomingdale/Butler example from 97 highlights this

BTW, I'm sure the numbers were reserved Quincy would have titled it "Corzine Opens Substantial Lead on Christie"

I'm still pretty sure Christie will win, although very narrowly.

Well, I dont want him to win, and eventhough he has been the frontrunner and very narrowly might still be, we as Dems should unite behind our candidate and hope for the best.

Why the hell do Democrats need to unite behind Jon Corzine?  That's pure partisan hackery, the man is an awful governor and probably his re-election hurts the Democrats as it makes them unlikely to hold the New Jersey senate in 2011.

Codey is more or less more favorable than Corzine more or less, and Corzine now unlike in the summer is a viable candidate and is seen as more electable.  Yes, they may lose a couple of seats, but unlike in the summer, they are making ground up.

Talk about a hard-to-follow start to a sentence.
