I brought this up because I took a stupid Facebook quiz and I was strongly right brain dominated.

One simplified analogy for right or left brain domination is you have 1000 pieces of popcorn and 1 is colored blue.

The right hander would look at each piece of popcorn until they came across the blue one.  They have to process one piece of information before they can move onto the next.

The left hander would spread the popcorn out and look at the whole array, identifying the blue piece that way.  Left handers are better at multitasking and deciphering information by looking at the whole picture, while right handers are better at analysis and coming up with specific details.

A right hander, for example, is usually better at exact computational math while the left hander is better at estimation.

Whilst you've probably got me right on with the popcorn example, the multitasking and the deciphering info parts, I would like to say that I'm just as proficient at the analysis part as well, alongside computational mathematics and specifying details (though only if I can be bothered, that is); I'm not so good at estimation though.  Sorry for ruining your model there.
