He wanted, or he said he wanted to appease the hawks of the nation, exactly like when you pretend to oppose them?

The Army always needs a few good men, so if anyone is opposed to "surrender" in Afghanistan, signing up would be a great way to send a message. Smiley

good men wont be needed.  obama will throw up the white flag.  biden, who wanted to partition iraq three years ago, no longer thinks the taliban is a threat.   has biden ever been right about anything?

and yes we should be exploring options for a regime change in both syria and iran.

Oh, come on. You're not afraid of a few hajjis, are you, Walter?

Besides, I get promoted if you enlist and say I convinced you to join. Wink

Um, look what I just posted for once. I want us to withdraw from pretty much every conflict or international organization we're currently involved in.

Come on, man. There's never been a conservative statist policy you haven't managed to contort what you call libertarianism into supporting - provided, that is, it preserves the status-quo. I have no doubt that if it were still popular you'd find some way to make libertarianism perfectly compatible with the War on "Terror".

Color me skeptical of anything you profess to believe in.

Yeah.

And you wouldn't get more taxes slammed on you under Obama?

Lesser of two evils. I don't want to pay any taxes; if I have to, I'd rather pay taxes for modernization projects than for war, which violates two of my principles.

Yes, that was a good idea. Iraq should've never even been created.

Because The British Empire had loads of success with it, so obvoiusly the United States should do it.

As  for Obama/Gates. Idk, I don't know much about Gates's stances on domestic policy matters.

Do you know anything at all about the Middle East?

A good way of seing how artificial a country's boundaries are is to see how much of it is straight.

Barack Obama. I do not trust Robert Gates to be able to work with Congress to pass domestic reform, whereas Obama looks to be successful with the public option pretty soon. Obama's foreign prospects have also satisfied me; I see no reason to prefer the untested Robert Gates to manage our entire nation.
