Joe, I think it might be wise to put a limit on how many bouns tokens you can you in a state. It takes the fun out of the game when someone uses 20+ bouns tokens in the game, like tmth and Xahar. Tongue

But then they may have fewer to spend later. Besides, everybody will start attacking them Tongue

No, they will win the primary by 40 points or more and get alot of new tokens.

Candidates who win a primary can win no more than 5 credits, even if they win the primary by more than 5 percentage points.

Ah, I just read that. Ok, I feel better.

thmthforu94 asked me if he could make a quick edit on the basis that he didn't initially realize that there is a limit to the number of credits you can win if you win the primary, so I unlocked the thread for five minutes.  This was a one-time favor.

Expensive victories in New Hampshire might cost winners’ nominations.

Helen Hudson and Xander Xiao have done it again. They have booth successfully won the second primaries of this year’s Presidential election and thereby conquered a number of new delegates for their cause.

It was however expensive victories for booth candidates.

Hudson, although being the winner of Iowa, was never expected to be very competive in New Hampshire due to her social conservatism. The Arkansas Governor however seemed determined to change that, and spent a huge amount of her campaign funds on advertising and campaigning in the state to turn the tide. Yet she only narrowly managed to beat home state candidate Wyatt Williams.

On the Democratic side Senator Xander Xiao decided to go all in as well, and use his huge campaign funds to rid himself of all competition in New Hampshire.

This sort of campaigning nevertheless seems to worry quite a big number of people. This paper spoke to the life-long libertarian and New Hampshire native, Bastian Bullworth, who’s been considered one of the country’s leading economic experts for years. About Xiao’s and Hudson’s spending Bullworth said; “It’s one of the most disgusting things I’ve seen in a long time. Both of them are spending like fifteen-year-olds in a candy store.” He continues to tell us that he thinks this might be a problem for the country if either candidate is elected President. “I’m afraid that if these two cannot handle their own campaign economy responsibly, there’s no way we can trust them to be responsible with the Government’s money when in office. I would say that either of these candidates would turn out to be big spenders.”

The question is though if either candidate will ever manage to get nominated if they keep handling their budgets like this. Both Hudson and Xiao wasted more than twice as much in New Hampshire as they gained in campaign contributions, an economic equation that will have them broke before being able to secure enough delegates to become their party’s nominee.

As our eyes turns towards Nevada, Hudson seems to have learned her lesson, as it was recently reported that she will have a very minor campaign in the state that is believed to easily be carried by its own Governor, Eric Emerson. Xander Xiao on the other hand still doesn’t seem to be slowing down money throwing.

Statement from the Office of Helen Hudson

Our campaign strongly disagrees with the disturbing statements made by Swedish Cheese towards our campaign. Of course our campaign is going to spend more many than other campaigns. We have more points to spend. Governor Helen Hudson went into the New Hampshire primary with 39 credits, and came out of it with 33. We do not see how that is reckless spending. We increased our delegate lead and increased momentum. Other candidates have lost just as much, and they didn't even win delegates. If anything, our campaign has spent our money wisely. It is silly to say Governor Hudson won't be able to control the government's money. The only reason Governor Hudson is spending so much now is because many people have confidence in her and support her for the Presidency.
And also, the lesson we learned is that citizens of New Hampshire and Iowa support Hudson. We are not focusing on Nevada because we feel like there are other states we need to be focusing on now. There are also 2 other candidates who has their main focus on the Nevada primary. It would be foolish to go all out on it, when we know our chances aren't great to begin with.

The Xiao campaign is confident that the truth will win out, despite the calumnies of certain candidates.
