As for me, I'd probably be a Tory, but I'd support a foreign policy much like the Liberal Democrats are proposing.

Libertarian/UKIP. I'd join the LibDems if they did a U-turn on the EU.

Someone seems to post this question every month or so.

Anyway. I do live here (of course) and how I vote ought to be hilariously obvious by now... Grin

Hasten slowly, comrades!

You don't have to be "in" a party in the UK. Partisan registration doesn't exist in democratic countries.

As to who I'd vote for? Mark me down as PC/SNP/Green/assorted Trot/Labour/LD (approximate order) for now, though it really depends on the constituency and candidates at hand.

You would, for example, obviously vote for Roger Godsiff if you had a chance to Grin

I will specify:

England: Labour. If I'd live somewhere in the South where Labour has no shot and LibDems have, and the LibDem guy is acceptable I'd vote for him as the lesser evil.

Wales: Labour, PC second choice.

Scotland: Labour, SNP second choice.

Northernd Ireland: Sinn Fein. SDLP second choice. In the majority protestant constituencies I'd vote for Ulster Unionists if their candidate is sane and moderate and/or there is a DUP/TUV semi-fascist candidate that has to be stopped. Otherwise I'd throw away my vote and support the lokal Shinner.

Yeah, I quite like the Lib Dems. If I was a Briton, I'd strongly support most of their EU policies and want greater integration between the UK and the rest of the EU. I'd probably oppose Britan going to war with Iraq, too.

Why are you an R-CA if you would support such a bureaucratic socialist mess as the EU?

Easy, I don't live there. If I was a Briton, I'd want stronger integration but with many reforms for the EU. But I'm an American, so I don't. It's quite complicated.

I still prefer the Swiss system. Or, if we have to have a parliamentary system, that of Canada or Israel.

Canada and Israel have two of the least functional parliamentary systems in the western world.
