Frankly, I think it's a travesty that our courts do everything in their power to stifle this extension of democracy. As long as we are to have cases in which the outcome depends on the popular passions, we need to have a mechanism for undermining those passions which tend towards the authoritarian and anti-democratic: nullification is it.

Perhaps in some form they should mention it, but we don't want people getting too emotional about the case and allowing themselves to be manipulated by the lawyers.
