I love geography, I love travel, and I love stories.  I'm also perpetually excited to be expanding my own global awareness and perspective while in Europe, as I've already shared numerous times.  So share your own travel experiences, perhaps listing where you've been and where your favorite trip was to.

I've been to these countries:

USA
Canada
Ireland
UK
Spain
Italy
Switzerland
Austria
Germany
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Hungary
Greece
France
Netherlands
Belgium

I love going anywhere really....but I particularly love long road trips in the US. New England is probably my favorite place to be, Vermont being above all.

Outside of the US, I'd probably say the UK is the most fun to be in, not least because of the wonderful pubs Smiley

Oberbayern is also heavenly.

I've been to Singapore and Malaysia when I was younger, and New Zealand; but the only place i've really travelled was Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. Worst place: Corrientes, Argentina (honourable mentions to Mendoza and Comodoro Rivadavia, both in Argentina); best place: Valparaiso, Chile (honourable mentions to Fray Bentos and Montevideo, Uruguay; Santiago, Chile and Cordoba, Argentina.)

But I really love travelling within my own corner of the earth as much as gong overseas. With places like Yackandandah, Strezlecki Ranges, Daylesford, Great Ocean Road, Wilsons Prom...Victoria is pretty spesh.

USA: All throughout the Southeast, notably Atlanta and New Orleans Tongue
Also been to Boston a few times and spent a week in rural south West Virginia (city of War).
Netherlands: I spent a couple of days in Amsterdam a few summers ago. The cafes were pretty awesome.
France: I've spent a weekend in Paris, it was okay.
Germany: Been to Munich, loved it. Also did a tour thing in the Black Forest.
Austria: Just Innsbruck on a day trip.
Italy: Venice, it sucked, basically.
United Kingdom: Only London, but it was an awesome city
Honduras: Flew into San Pedro Sula, went to La Entrada up in the mountains to help build this school thing. Spent a day looking at the Copan ruins too.

US: I frequent New York (best friend now lives in Manhattan) and its surrounding areas, as well as Ithaca (though it's terrible). I also spend a good amount of time in Washington DC. Other than that, it's the Carolinas, Georgia and the occasional trip to Florida to see my Godparents. I mainly stay around the east coast. I haven't been further west than Tennessee (expect to San Antonio), but I've been as far north as New Hampshire.

Europe: Netherlands, France, Italy, Greece, Switzerland and Turkey. I'd like to visit England one day, but I'm not sure when that will be. Wake has a popular house to study abroad in Austria, but I've never really considered it.

I've also been to the Virgin Islands and Jamaica (though the former isn't a foreign nation, per say).

My others travels

I've been all over the USA. Haven't really explored New England or the Southwest too well though.

Internationally I've spent time in British Columbia and Quebec, the UK, France, Italy, Greece, China, Guatemala and this December I'm headed down to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

China was the most interesting trip, Greece the most beautiful, and Guatemala the most fulfilling (worked in an orphanage and got to spend a lot of time with real Guatemalans).

Very few places outside the eastern United States.  In fact, I am very poorly-traveled.

I have been to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and a Haitian refugee village called Caballona...about 30 miles outside SD.  Spent about a month there.

And I have been to Manitoulin Island in Ontario.

Other than that, it seems most of my "travels" are to visit family or on business trips.  And my business usually takes me to Richmond, Virginia...Dalton, Georgia...Chicago...and Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Sweden - Family vacation again to reconnect with my family in Sweden. Great country.

Denmark - Side Trip of Sweden

They are both great countries Smiley Glad to hear you enjoyed visiting. Don't mean to be nosy (just a little), but what places did you go, and what did you do?

I would love to travel more, but so far I haven't been very far. I've been to the following places though.

Denmark - Almost every summer, since I live close and have family there. Latest trip went to Copenhagen in August for gay pride. It was awsome.

Germany - In different parts of Schleswig-Holstien a couple of times. In 9th grade my class also went to Berlin.

Norway - Oslo, was a really intresting city. Norway is almost the same as Sweden though.

I've also been to quite a few places in Sweden. Nowhere North of Uppsala though.

And I'm most likely going to London during Easter break. Yay!

I don't believe I've ever left the US.

If you don't include just transferring in airports, I've been in Colorado, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey (very briefly, just outside of NYC), Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and California.

I love road trips, driving through Utah is amazing. I've always wanted to visit New England, but I want to see the whole country.

I hope to visit Italy and the UK at some point.

Sweden - Family vacation again to reconnect with my family in Sweden. Great country.

Denmark - Side Trip of Sweden

In Sweden, the first couple days we relaxed at my Great Uncle's summer house near Västerås. IT was real picturesque, and it was real warm. I went canoeing along the lake, and the sky was dotted with some nice clouds, far from the pictures I've seens of the cold, rainy Sweden. My great uncle and aunt both graduated from Uppsala University, so we visited the campus. (My uncle later went on to become a rich lawyer, and frequently dines with the royals).

Then, we went down to southern Sweden to visit some of my other family, and it was even warmer. We swam on this little inlet, and spent time at their summer house. We then spent a day in Copenhagen, seeing the mermaid and the statues of the gods.

After this, we went back to visit my great uncle's house again, but we stopped in the Glass cities (I can't recall their names), for a few days, and I got to create glass.

Then we went back to the summer house, only now it was foggy and cold. Russia and Georgia went to war, and I remember I was fascinated with the crisis. We went to Stockholm, saw the underground train, and the ship that had been raised from the sea. I then went back to the summerhouse, watching the Beijing Olympics for the rest of the trip.

It was probably my favorite trip that I've ever made. Smiley

Canada: Niagara, Toronto, Ottawa and eastern Ontario, Montreal, North and South Shore, Eastern Townships, Outaouais, Quebec and all the way to Montmagny.
US: Extensively in Maine (Ogunquit), NYC, Washington DC and NoVA. Passed through or was for some time in VT, NH, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA.

France: Extensively in Bretagne (all around except Pays de Léon), Côte-d'Azur, Paris. I also drove all the way from Munich to Rennes, passing through almost all of France from Alsace to Rennes.
Italy: Ventimiglia, Dolceaqua (aka, Imperia Province)
Germany: Munich and surroundings
Austria: Salzburg, Innsbruck
Cyprus: All around the Greek portion, most extensively in Limassol.

Egypt: Aircraft stopover in Cairo Int'l Airport.

Saudi Arabia: Riyadh and surroundings, Hofuf, Dammam-Dhahran-Khobar and the Nefud Desert. I also went to Jeddah airport.
Bahrain: Manama and crossed the King Fahd Causeway
Qatar: Doha and surroundings. Of course, the rest of that piece of land is wasteland. There's Doha and the black hole, basically.
UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah
Oman: Muscat and surroundings
Jordan: Amman, Jerash, Dead Sea, Karak, Petra, Wadi Rum Desert

Maldives: Male and Kanifinolhu (Kaafu Atoll)
Thailand: Bangkok and Koh Samui

My favourite is probably Bretagne and Jordan. Petra is a beautiful place, and Jordan is a great country. Saudi Arabia is great in its own way.

This says a great deal about certain fellows here, though not more than I'd suspected.

United States: I went to Portland once when I was six, and I've been to Yellowstone and Salt Lake City twice (once when I was five, and again over the summer). I've been to Reno several times, and Las Vegas once when I was too young to remember. I went to Houston last winter. When I was 8, I went to New York, and I took a trip to Baltimore two years later, going as far north as Philadelphia and as far south as Arlington. Most of my traveling is in-state; between 2005 and 2008, I spent more than 3 years without leaving California and Nevada. I've been to Yosemite around 20 times.

Other: I went to London in March 2004, and experienced the coldest temperatures I've ever felt. I've been to Bangladesh five times (but never outside Dhaka), most recently around New Year's 2005, and I've been to Singapore nearly as many times. In January 2001, I spent a day in Bangkok. I've stopped over in Hong Kong (which I'll be visiting for real this winter) and Osaka. In December, I'll be going to Bangladesh again, and we'll be stopping over at (but not visiting) Kathmandu. I was incredibly disappointed when I found out we wouldn't be able to get out of the plane there.

So, basically, only places that drive on the left.

States in Red:

Canada (Montreal and Quebec City)
United Kingdom (London and Edinburgh)
India (Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai)
Mexico (cruise stop destination, not quite sure where though it was near some Aztec pyramids)
Belize (likewise)

EDIT: and I've been to Frankfurt, Germany International Airport on the way to Bangalore. I would have much rather just chilled in Frankfurt; seems like an awesome city
