For under explored, catallactics and praxeology; both important parts of libertarian economic theory.

- Expected Utility Theory (Risk, Utility over lotteries)
- Most Financial Economics (Modern Portfolio Theory, Black-Scholes Options Pricing, VaR)
- Auctions

Explored, but should be explored more.
- Behavioral economics of politics and public choice (intersection of Social Choice Theory and Behavioral Economics)
- Economics of Social Networks
- Behavioral Economics (in general)
- Development Economics
- Economics of Geography
- Industrial Organization
- Environmental Economics
- Computational Economics/Finance (including things like Artificial Neural Networks)

Under explored
- Algorithmic Game Theory (intersection of Economics and Computer Science)
- Economics of Religion (inter and -intra cultural Economics in general)
- Historical Economics
- Complexity Economics
- Economics of Language
- Economics of Science
- Economic Anthropology (intersection of Economics and Anthropology obviously)
- Neuroeconomics other than brain scans.
