President Obama: 49%
Pawlenty: 40%
Someone else: 6%
Undecided: 5%

"About 48 percent of those responding to the survey rated Pawlenty “good” or “excellent” while 50 percent gave Obama those ratings."

The annual St. Cloud State University Survey of Minnesotans measured the responses of 550 adults in Minnesota on a series of politics-related questions. Survey calls were made to landline or cell phones between Oct. 26 and Nov. 4. The survey has margin of error of 5 percentage points.

Yeah, I don't really think that anyone would expect Pawlenty to win Minnesota...

It'll have been 40 years since Minnesota last went Republican.

Thank you very much! I'm very pleased that I finally found a forum like this at which you can discuss about the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election.

This isn't really a surprise to anybody. Also, I would like to echo this sentiment:

Anyone suprised?

It's like expected that Romney would carry MA, Giuliani NY or, on the other hand, Edwards NC

eh...

As a voter who will vote for anyone BUT Obama in the next election, I feel pretty confident in saying that the Republicans simply do not have anyone that can beat him in 2012--unless there is some big drastic change in his #s between now and November '12, I don't see any way whatsoever there will be a Republican president anytime soon.

Well there goes the only possible reason to have nominated Pawlenty. Scratch him off the list.
