The following Democratic Held US Senate Seats are safe.
1)HI(Inouye-D)
2)MD(Mikulski-D)
3)NY(Schumer-D)
4)OR(Wyden-D)
5)VT(Leahy-D)

The following Democratic Held US Senate Seats are currently safe. but can be potentially vulnerable or competive- Democrats are strongly favored to hold on.
1)CA(Boxer-D)
2)IN(Bayh-D)
3)NY(Gillibrand-D)
4)ND(Dorgan-D)
5)WA(Murray-D)
6)WI(Feingold-D)

The following Democratic Held US Senate Seats are highly vulnerable.
1)AR(Lincoln-D)
2)CO(Bennett-D)
3)CT(Dodd-D)
4)DE(OPEN-Kaufman-D)
5)IL(OPEN-Burris-D)
6)NV(Reid-D)
7)PA(Specter-D)

Democrats are likely to hold on to DE and IL.  DE and IL are blue states. the Democratic nominee of DE(Beau Biden) will get help from his father VP Joe Biden who was previously the US Senator from DE and the Democratic nominee in IL(Alexi Giannoulias) will get help from his best friend POTUS Barack Obama- who was previously the US Senator from IL.

Democrats will lose AR(Lincoln-D)- mediocre Democratic incumbent from a state and region that is very anti Obama. and CO(Bennett-D)- who is a political novice appointed by an unpopular Democratic Governor- Bill Ritter from a purple state.

That leaves us Dodd(CT), Reid(NV),and Specter(PA). Dodd(CT) and Reid(NV) and Specter(PA have high negative among Independents and are not popular with the Democratic base.- however the DSCC will spend alot of money protecting Dodd(CT) and Reid(NV).

I would prefer to see Specter(PA) and Dodd(CT) lose in the general election.  Toomey-PA and Simmons-CT will occupy those seats for only one term.  They will lose in 2016 to Patrick Murphy(PA) and Chris Murphy(CT).

The following Republican Held US Senate Seats in 2010 are safe.
1)AL(Shelby-R)
2)AK(Murkowski-R)
3)AZ(McCain-R)
4)GA(Isakson-R)
5)ID(Crapo-R)
6)IA(Grassley-R)
7)KS(OPEN-Brownback-R)
8)OK(Coburn-R)
9)SC(DeMint-R)
10)SD(Thune-R)
11)UT(Bennett-R).

The following US Senate Seats are vulnerable.
1)FL(OPEN-LeMieux-R)
2)KY(OPEN-Bunning-R)
3)LA(Vitter-R)
4)MO(OPEN-Bond-R)
5)NH(OPEn-Gregg-R)
6)NC(Burr-R)
7)OH(OPEN-Voinovich-R).

Republicans will hold on to FL(Crist-R or Rubio-R),KY(Grayson),LA(Vitter-) and NC(Burr-R). MO is a Republican loss due to the candidacy of Robin Carnahan-D.  NH and OH are tossups.
