Positive. It's mildly assuming sometimes.

Usually negative, unless there's a very good reason.

In case of recent threads, there is absolutely no reason except attention whoring or stupid comments where they're not needed.

Almost always quite irritating. Especially when people start arguing with posts made by people who haven't been here for four years or whatever.

The only time I feel it's appropriate is when something that was said becomes extremely hilarious or interesting due to a change in circumstances over time.

I agree. I think it's quite positive if the thread is genuinely interesting. However, there's been a fairly large amount of negative thread-bumping lately.

I like Meeker's view on the subject. Overuse of bumps clutters the boards and makes it hard to note new and interesting threads that have been added or updated.

Has there ever been a troll who has bumped old threads by just using the word "bump"? That's when it's most annoying of course.

LOL, love the bump.

Neutral here because it really depends on the thread. It does however have the advantage (particularly in predictive threads) of making the posters in them look like idiots.

Who cares, I like to look at threads from long ago, not really sure why it has such a negative connotation to it.
