I think it's pretty clear that someone who has been on mod review multiple times will not become a moderator.

As a general rule, people that want to be a moderator are usually not good choices.

I tend not to favor morons and attention whores in this role.  So, no.  But in a race between you and Jewish Conservative...I'd vote for you in a heartbeat.

Why would anyone want such a thankless job, particularly since you have no power to ban or suspend anyone (and the man behind the curtain is typically out of town, or if in town, not in the mood to deal with such noisome hazarai), so your powers are more about bark than bite?  I mean the job is more like being someone's pet toy poodle, where your role in life is just to yip at stuff, which while it annoys the objects of your chastisement sometimes, certainly does not put anyone in a state of fear.  Thus the powers of a mod to effect any behavior modifications whatsoever appear to be er, de minimus.

Just asking. Maybe some of the mods can explain to me what about their jobs they find self actualizing, that escapes my imagination to independently conceive of.

Well, someone contacted me by PM saying I should try to become a mod. So, I put it out here for the general public to discuss. It's only fair.
