You know, that one relationship that for whatever reason ranked above all the rest and for equally mysterious circumstances, didn't work out.  And you'll never forget 'em.

Although I lack the moral superiority of alot of Okies, I do share a Southern twang with them (though I am told I sound more Texan than I do Okie, which I guess makes sense since I was raised by Texans).

No.  Just the one that got away...and boy, was I ever glad.  (When she runs out of your apartment with a razor blade, threatening to cut herself to pieces because you wouldn't "commit"...that's usually a good sign.)

You two could offer great input into a thread I plan to make.

NO.

And another Flyers' story.  I brought my sister's friend who I kinda liked to my brother's wedding in 2006.  She ended up ditching me for another usher, my brother's college roommate, and they're getting married this Saturday.  I declined the invite-  BOO YAAHH!  I'm not going stag to an event like this and pay money for a gift plus parking to the mismanaged bureaucracy of the Philly Parking Authority.  A lot of people I know would have said her, but no freaking way.  I realized over time why she wasn't the right one and why this guy is-  They're both kinda weird.

If they do "get away", it was not meant to be anyway.

I think I'm too young to have found "the one," much less the "one that got away." I've always cared for every girl I've been with, but I can't say I've ever truly been in love or ever thought about a long term future with a girl. I don't see myself getting married until I'm in my late twenties and out of law school, so I'm not exactly trying very hard either to find "the one." I have met people here in school that have honestly already met that person, and it worries me to see people settle so early in life.

I feel the same way - I see a lot of people I graduated with 3 years ago getting married, and I know that some of those marriages, in particula, won't last.

Yeah I do, it was never meant to be but I think about her often.

My only other serious long term relationship ended very badly(she turned out to be a psychotic bitch), but I still want her back in a lot of ways. I hate her and love her at the same time. It might be easier putting her out of my mind if we didn't have a daughter together(another thing she uses to hurt me). Such is life....

Yes, of course I have!  A beautiful, intelligent, and very very sexual 16 year old girl I met when I was 26.

Perhaps she 'got away' because of the law, or perhaps because we had a very sexually enjoyable four year relationship and then our lives diverged, but either way its over now.  I do however believe I am far better off for it having ended.  Man what I have experienced since then.  And after all now she'd be 31.

So you're 41?  Well that explains a lot now that you're an "OLD".  Welcome to the club!

Chris,

Keeping Andrew tied up in your basement does NOT constitute a relationship!
