In his column, "By the numbers," Davie Weidner of Market Watch quotes Harper's Magazine's 'Carper's Index' of recent economic data.

Now I understand Jmfcst will be considerably irate with republication of the numbers (the whole article is to long to publish here).  Her's the url:

no, i do not like the numbers.  Who would?  They demonstrate that we've experienced the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression.

Thankfully, the Fed woke up in time to put the system on life support and avert another great depression.

you, Beet, and Sam Spade seem to have forgotten that we've already crashed last year!

Epic...well, most countries who rely on the US economy (rather than the European or their own economy) are struggling, potentially more than most Americans Squinting
