Misleading them how? Everything was in the contracts they signed, unless we're talking about actual fraud. If people were too lazy or stupid to read the fine print on arguably the most important financial decision of their lives, that's not my problem. I shouldn't have to pay for their stupidity.

That's an extremely naive way to view things. You should know by now that in the absence of any sort of meaningful central authority it tends to boil down to who has the most guns and gold. True Meritocracy has never existed anywhere regardless.

Economic freedom would be good if it considered freedom from business in addition to freedom from government. Businesses can be oppressive too, and less government does not necessarily increase individual freedom.

So what I said, basically.
