Does he clinch when he has the 2100 delegates or when no other candidate can get 2100 delegates.

you need 2162 to get the nomination. If no candidate reached that by the convention then there would be a brokered convention (in such a scenario delegates who entered the convention assigned to a given candidate can change their vote on the 'second ballot'). Such a thing hasnt happend since the 50s.

It was surmised that Dean and Edwards were both shooting for a brokered convention, hoping they could deny Kerry a majority.

Kerry wont have enough delegates today, but he will be very close. He will have enough by next Tuesday. (he may have more before then if the 400 remaining superdelegates committ to him, but I think they will let Illinois get the honor of crowning him)

Don't I know.  I lived with them till I was 18.  Many dollars worth of deprogramming were required to fix that.  Just think, with socialized medicine, I may have been therapeuted at a much earlier age.  Whoa, paradox.

I just got back from my precinct caucus about fifteen minutes ago and I think I can predict that Bush will in fact be the winner here.

These people are idiots in the states that voted yesterday.  A big najority in eVERY state said that it is either very or somewhat likely Kerry will win there state.

78% of the people who voted in Texas say that it is either very or somewhat likely Kerry will win Texas in Nov.

Are they kidding?
